This is a restored CJ I found that had been sitting for 30+ years in someone’s yard. It has 30,000 miles on the odometer and that agrees with the documentation on the title.
I have replaced the tub but fenders,hood and tailgate are original. I painted it inside out and under the original “Glenwood Green”. The chassis is in very good condition. It has been wire brushed and painted with a rust inhibiting paint. The motor and tranny are stock and have not been altered or refurbished except for new fuel pump(original vacuum side for wiper operation), carburetor(still have the original) and new radiator. Replaced the clutch. It runs and drives fine.
The steering linkage had been rebuilt. Front springs are new along with four new shocks. The brakes are entirely new including wheel cylinder, master cylinder, brake lines, shoes and drums. Installed locking hubs on front wheels. All input and output shaft seals are new.
The interior is as original as I could make it. New seats and heater ducts,two speed heater fan, vacuum wiper driver side manual wiper passenger side. Seatbelts need to be installed but I have them. It has an extremely heavy plow blade with the hydraulic pump of the time. It has the original hardtop ordered when new, paperwork included.
It has the original speedometer but fuel and temp gauges don’t work. Installed separate temp gauge. This has been garage kept and comes with many spare parts.
