How do I edit my Willys Ad?
To manage your ad, log in and click on the “My Dashboard” link in the top right navigation panel. Click on the pencil icon for the ad you want to edit – DO NOT CLICK ON THE AD TITLE LINK. Once you click on the pencil icon, you may change the description of your listing, add or remove photos, or make any other changes needed. If you wish to turn your ad off temporarily, you may do so by clicking on the “play” or “pause” button to the right of the pencil icon. If your ad is turned off, it’s status will read “offline”. To edit your ad or to make it visible on the site again, you must make it “live” again by pressing the “play” button. To manage your personal account profile, look for the “Edit Profile” button or link in the right hand sidebar.
When I registered, I got a strange password. Can I change it?
Yes! Use the “My Dashboard” or “Edit Profile” link as described above, then click on “Edit Profile” or (if making the change from this page), click on the “Profile” link in the right hand sidebar. Here, you can change your password, username or email and enter some more information about yourself (optional) to help us get to know you better!
My images won’t upload because they are too large.
How can I make them smaller?
The max size for uploading images is 2MB. If you need to decrease the size of your images, but are not sure how, try using a free online image resizer such as: Pic Resize. If you are still having trouble re-sizing your images, feel free to email them to Rachel and she will get them uploaded for you.
How do I know if someone is interested in my ad?
When a person views your ad, they will be able to use the ad contact form to email you directly! Their inquiry will be sent to the email address that you used to register your account. Because their inquiry goes straight to your inbox, there is no admin panel you need to access or manage!
The item listed in my ad has been sold. How do I remove it?
If your Willys vehicle or other Willys-related item has been sold, congratulations! All you have to do now is log in to your account, click on the “Manage Ads” link in the right sidebar then click on the “Mark Sold” link under the pencil icon in your ad manager. That’s it! After the ad cycle is complete (usually 90 days), your listing will be permanently deleted from the system. If you would like to have your ad removed sooner, simply visit our contact page and email our webmaster with your request.
By default your ad has an “online” status.
When your ad has been paused, it is taken offline but remains on the server until the completion of the ad cycle.
I tried to access the site, but received a cookies error.
It has been reported that some of our users are having issues accessing the site (or logging in) and are receiving a cookies error. This seems to be an issue associated with a few select browsers, and we are actively trying to find a solution to the problem. You may try accessing the site from another computer, and find that you are able to have success. It may be noted that some have found that they receive this message when an incorrect password has been used; however, this explanation has not been completely confirmed as of yet.
