Description

OK, where to start. I drove to Illinois 2.5 years ago to pick up a fixer upper. Let’s just say I’m not a gear head and I’ve learned everything through friends and youtube.

First off, took off the body, all the wiring, tires, lightes, gauges, and started fresh. I did 90% of the body work with AllMetal body filler and then a professional body shop finish the last 10 % and sealed it with an epoxy primer. Did the same thing to the inner tub, and underside, and coated with a raptor liner black/grey finish. Rattle canned the frame with raptor etching primer and black spray paint.

Grill, wheels, light housings, and bumper were sandblasted and powder coated black.

All gauges were tossed and added new from Kaiser Willys. Front two seats were new from KW, new vinyl from KW, back seat was sanded, painted, and vinyled by me :)- New Steering wheel, new exhaust and muffler fabricated by my buddy. All new wiring, tail lights, etc…blinkers added. New clutch. New carburetor. New windshield, new glass. New shocks.New hood latches. New tires, bigger and wanted something to look militaryish, but more durable. Haven’t

Engine is another story. It came with a start six, we worked on it for awhile and finally figured that two of the cylinders were not getting any compression. Replaced the engine with the Original L-134 that came with the Willys at the time. The engine came from a generator and we’ve had a few issues . Now the bottom half has been completely rebuilt and the rest has been inspected.

This has been a labor of love. Is it perfect, far from it, but it’s been touched by many people and it’s my story.
