The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. The rear tonneau of the Continental GT, for example it was the largest piece ever made of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
It is this unique design, attention to detail and craftsmanship to detail that has established Bentley as the most sought-after automobile brand. The company continues to push boundaries with the latest technology and craft, including the introduction of the digital instrument cluster and an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof and a crafted docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic smart glass that can be switched between opaque and transparent by an arrow.

The Bentley Mulsanne key comes with a button that opens the trunk and another that starts the car. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spaces. This feature makes it easier to get into and out of your vehicle.

Bentley's unique design is a reflection of the values of the company that include fine craftsmanship engineering expertise and modern technology. Over 4,000 employees are employed at its Crewe headquarters, and are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley cars. They employ techniques passed through generations and apply them to cutting-edge automotive technology. This is the characteristic of British manufacturing at its best.
Personalisation
Bentley's Mulliner division allows customers to design their own car. The "mood station" lets guests pick images that inspire them. They can range from scenic vistas and sporting events. After each selection is made, a pattern will emerge, which reveals the design and color preferences for the custom Bentley.
The guests are given the keys in a case designed by hand and containing the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys are also equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that illuminate the door's opening path with the owner's name or logo as they approach the vehicle.
Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man-hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. The unwillingness to embrace modern technology is the primary factor to this laborious task. The Crewe factory workers don't employ a machine to place perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors to guide it into parallel and perpendicular parking spots drivers must perform the task by hand.
Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization abilities with an exclusive Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays homage to the William Osler, the founder of Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O.
