Mosquito and its cast of mostly unknown actors and some amazing practical effects such as stop-motion animation and monsters, is among the most entertaining films of this era. It also has an enjoyable pace thanks to co-writer/ director Gary Jones. The film also has some fun lines and some good acting from the cast that isn't known.
