The case should be opened by using a tape-wrapped screwdriver. It should easily come apart without damaging the rubber ring underneath the battery.
Once the battery has been exposed, remove it and place it somewhere you'll never forget. Set the new battery in its original position, making sure that the positive (+ side) of the battery is facing upwards. Close the case when the new battery is installed, ensuring that both sides snap into place. Now you are able to use your Mazda keyfob for the second time.
