Best Twin Buggy: 10 Things I Wish I'd Known Sooner
The Best Twin Buggy
Designed to grow with your family This inline double comes with various seating options and is suitable for twins or children of various ages. Its foam-filled tires never flatten, and the soft suspension is ideal for kerbs.
It folds up super-flat and satisfies airline gate-check weight requirements making it easy to travel with. It also includes a large storage basket under the seat, and the sun canopy is four panels.
Leclerc Influencer
With its sleek design, auto-fold and cabin approved dimensions the Leclerc Influencer is a fantastic choice for travelers. Its folded (and unfolded) width is 47cm, which is slightly more than the IATA standard of 45cm, but it still meets the airline's hand luggage requirements and can be stored in overhead lockers during flights (Subject to Airline approval). We found it was easy to clean using just a wipe down, and there were many extras available such as nappy bags, footmuffs and buggy organiser bags that fit onto handles and hoods offering UV50and protection.
It's easy to get up and down stairs, and it can fit into tight spaces like narrow alleyways, shops and Jane's terrace home. The bumper bar can also serve as handle. There's also a large brake that is flip-flop compatible and comes with a colour-coded indicator. The basket is smaller than other models, but it can still accommodate a large changing bag. There are also tray to store snacks, drinks and toys.
It is suitable for babies from birth. There are adaptors available to pair it with a Leclerc Baby Carrycot. The clever backrest can be folded down to make it ideal for long walks or naps. The 5-point harness that is magnetic makes it easy to use. It's also super lightweight at only 6.6kg and includes the travel bag.
Joie Evalite Duo
The British brand Joie has a goal to "share happiness with parents who are expecting" by designing pushchairs that are "functional and stylish, as well as innovative". The Evalite Duo, their latest twin buggy, is the brand's most recent offering. It's designed to accommodate two children at the same time, unlike the slightly heavier Aire Twin. It also offers stadium seating that lets both children see the world.
The Evalite Duo weighs just under 10kg, making it one of the lightest strollers for siblings on the market. It's suitable from birth and is compatible with Joie car seats or carrycots (with the Instant Sure Lock attachment). It's easy to drive, ride, lift and fold and the clever frame expands widthways to accommodate the second seat.
Out 'n' about says the Evalite Duo's one-handed folding is an absolute highlight. They were impressed by how quickly and effortlessly the Evalite Duo comes together. However, they did observe that it's more difficult to navigate bumps and rough terrain than some other models.
The front seat does not fully recline, so parents had to use their hands to lower it. This is something they'd prefer to avoid when traveling with small children. The Evalite Duo, however, is a great stroller that could be improved upon with a few adjustments. They are impressed by the compact size when folded.
iCandy Peach
iCandy Peach, a sophisticated tandem buggy, offers parents all of the options they require. It is compatible with a variety of car seats, and folds effortlessly by using a single-click mechanism. It also comes with a variety of extras that rival brands are charging separately for, such as rain covers and liners.
iCandy Peach is a popular choice for parents who are fashion-conscious due to its chic and modern jersey fabric. The 2022 model of the Peach has undergone a series of minor tweaks to improve the performance and function without sacrificing style.
One of the most significant changes to the current Peach is the addition of a ride-on board that makes it a fantastic option for twins. It's also slightly more compact than older Peach models however that doesn't stop it from providing the space you could require for your child.
It's a perfect double stroller for parents who are looking for something that looks good and offers a lot of versatility. You can use it from the beginning as a single stroller, and then purchase a double kit for it to be a twin buggy. It also has a huge basket and five recline positions for maximum comfort for your child. It also has a single-handed fold as well as an integrated carry strap. The only downside is that it can be a little heavy to carry around when not in use in particular since it folds into two pieces instead of one.
iCandy Orange
This is the top twin buggy you can get. The seats are well padded and come with luxury footmuffs or liners that will keep your little ones cosy in cold weather. The carrycot is simple to attach by using the side flaps that open to allow for gate opening. It is comfortable and spacious. Orange chassis can accommodate 30 different combinations of the seats and carrycot.
The wheels are specially designed to take on rough and concrete ground and there's a hefty shopping basket that's ideal for big supermarket shops. This pushchair is comfortable to drive, with a light feel, and the pedal brake that is rounded is easy to use (but it's not flip-flop-friendly). It's not easy to fold and the latch that keeps it folded requires two hands to unlock. After it's folded, the front wheels fold into the basket, and the chassis will be able to stand up easily.
The Orange is ideal for parents who are fashion-conscious and have a baby or toddler and need a buggy that will be able to grow with them. It's also a great option for parents who plan to have another child in the not-too-distant future and want a movable double pushchair. The iCandy Orange is not cheap, but it's versatile enough that it will last for a while and have a high resale price too. It can also take a buggy board, which will aid in reducing sibling fights over seats!
Mountain Buggy Duet
The company was founded by an Australian, Mountain Buggy (part of the Mokopuna group, which also owns Phil and Teds and Baby Jogger) is the first pram brand that focuses on all-terrain double pushchairs. The Duet twin stroller can be easily maneuvered in narrow aisles of shopping and doors. It is among the smallest, most feature-packed double buggies available and has won many awards, including 2014 Mother & Baby Twin Gold and 2015 Prima Baby Twin Silver.
The seats are wide enough to let children of various ages to sit comfortably together. They also have independent reclined so that children can pick their preferred seating position. The large canopies have flick-out sun visors, and the storage basket is spacious. It works with almost all brands and accepts two adapters for infant car seats with the purchase of car seats.
The only issue is the weight. It is hefty at 32.4 pounds, and it could be difficult to get into and out of the trunk for Grandma. It is also more expensive than the majority of side-by-side double buggies. It is built to last, and comes with a variety of options for the price. It's a good option for urban parents who wish to avoid lugging a bulky stroller around. The padding of the harnesses, the 5-point buckles and padded straps ensure that it is safe for infants.
Bugaboo Donkey twin
The Bugaboo Donkey Twin is a elegant, functional buggy that has elegant design. It's a quality product, but not without flaws.
It comes with very few conveniences, both for the children and parents. There's a small bin in the seat that's only usable when one seat is attached - and that's the only thing it has. There are no parent trays cup holders, cups or pockets for accessories, and this could be problematic for long journeys.
pushchair twin aren't able to recline to a completely flat position, and the gap between them is a bit wide, so our 5 year old had trouble lying back in a comfortable position. This is a shame since it's a high-end model.
On the positive side, it's easy to maneuver and the swivel wheels work well at getting up steep slopes and steps. It's also small enough to pass through most doors and folds quickly for easy storage and transportation. It can also be converted back to mono mode with just three clicks if ever need some more room or want to make a quick getaway. It can even accommodate a third child using the comfort wheeled board should you're in need of. It's expensive, but when you're on a tight budget, there are other options available there. If you're a fan of the brand and are able to afford it, it's worth the price.
