Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair
The best robot vacuum cleaner for pet hair will have a strong suction, and brushes that don't get caught in pet hair. It should also come with an intelligent app and the ability to set no-go zones.
best robot vacuum for thick carpet and pet hair robotvacuummops iRobot j7+ earned the top marks in my tests of picking up cat and dog hair on hardwood floors. It also comes with an obstacle avoidance feature that is said to detect socks and cords.
1. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a relative newcomer in the robot vacuum market has received positive reviews for its sleek designs that can slide under furniture with a low. The G30 is a bit bigger than the 11S model, but is still remarkably slim, and has more suction power and a mopping function into the overall package which is less than 3 inches tall. It also comes with an area for charging that keeps the charging base from view when not in use.
The G30 utilizes the same app as many of the other robotic devices from Eufy. It's a basic application when compared to more expensive rivals, but it has some useful features. You can share the control of the G30 by navigating the Settings menu. The robot can also play a loud music to help you locate it, which is helpful in the event that it gets stuck in the sofa or runs across the room.
One of the most important factors to take into consideration when choosing a robot vacuum is its capability to remove pet hair. The G30 was excellent in this regard, taking short and long hairs of dog and cat from our test floor. It even sucked up dried clumps of cat food that older Roomba 675 struggled with.
While the G30's main cleaning mode is Auto It also has two other options for more specific tasks: Spot and Edge. The Edge allows you to draw a line around an area of the floor which the robot will vacuum for up to two minutes. The first one does the same, but pauses in between to avoid overcrowding its dustbin.
Like all robotic vacuums, the G30 creates a map as it cleans it and saves it in its memory. It doesn't have any other navigational features such as room labeling or virtual no-go areas. You can set boundary strips using the app, however they sounded more like suggestions than hard boundaries. However, the G30 is a sophisticated robotic vacuum with a high-quality design at a budget price.
2. Neato D9
The Neato D9 is a robot vacuum cleaner that has a bigger brush, a better dust bin, and smart LIDAR mapping that is able to efficiently clean corners. It comes with sensors integrated and a docking station which is able to charge.
The D9 is a significant improvement over the entry level D8 that offers more than twice the run-time and improved mapping. It also features an advanced multi-surface brush as well as an ultra-performance filter that is able to collect finer particles like hairs of pets, than traditional filters.
In our tests in the lab during our lab tests, the D9 did exceptionally well on both hard floors and carpets. It also had the longest battery life, letting it to cover a large area before requiring a recharge. The D9 doesn't come with the remote control, but you can control it manually by pressing the power button on the unit, or via your smartphone with the MyNeato application (available for Android and iOS) or via voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant.
The D9's onboard LIDAR assists the robot in mapping your home's layout and then approach cleaning in a systematic manner that avoids obstacles, which can help it clean more thoroughly. However, its size may hinder it from getting under furniture and tables, so it's not the ideal option for homes with expensive antiques or collectibles. It can also climb up lamp bases or chair legs which could cause damage to the furniture or cause it to fall.
The D9 as with the other models in this series, features an extensive brush that can take in dirt at the corners of rooms. It also comes with a turbo mode to tackle the large amounts of dirt and pet hair on carpets. In our tests, we discovered that the D9 performed well on carpets as well as hard floors. It also did a good work at picking up pet fur on both. The D9 has a HEPA filter that filters out fine particles that can cause asthma or allergies. The D9 is easy to set up and use. With the MyNeato App, you can create zones to target problematic areas, such crumbs under tables or no-go zones to restrict the space that the robot can cover, such as narrow hallways.
3. iLife V3s Pro
The iLife V3s Pro is one of the best robot vacuums to remove pet hair on hard floors. It also has a mopping mode and can traverse stairwells and other obstacles. Its slim design makes it easy to place under furniture, allowing it access to the dirt and hair of pets in hard-to-reach places. The auto-charging feature of the device saves time by returning to its dock when the battery is depleted. It can be controlled via an app or via the remote control.
iLife V3s Pro has many of the same features as more expensive models, but is priced less than half. It is able to clean low-pile flooring, stone and a variety of hardwood and tile surfaces. It can be programmed to clean daily on a schedule and will continue to clean even when you're away from home. Smart sensors prevent it from falling and scratching furniture legs. The pearl white finish is sleek and works well with a variety of decor styles. It's low enough to easily maneuver under sofas and beds.
Its tiny motor might not have the power as higher-end models, but it works quickly to remove pet hairs and other particles from hard surfaces. The V3s Pro is also capable of cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and other rooms on an everyday every day.
Although it does not include a rotating brush, the V3s Pro has a 3-inch suction opening that lets debris flow into the dust bin. Three-spoke brushes rest on either side of the opening, helping to loosen up particles and crumbs before being swept away.
The performance of the iLife V3s Professional's cleaner is comparable to the Roomba 980 of the iRobot and Eufy RoboVac 11. The results of the lab tests were mediocre when compared to other robot vacuums with similar specifications. It completed its test in just 1 hour, 31 minutes and 1 second, which is somewhat slower than the iRobot Roomba or the Shark Ion R85. It was capable of removing pet hair and other debris off bare floors, but struggled with thick, high-pile carpeting and rugs.
4. Deebot X2 Omni
Although the X2 Omni isn't the newest robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs, it is still one of the best models to buy to clean pet hair. The X2 Omni is designed to clean both carpets and floors with rotating washing pads soaked in hot water at 131 degrees that allow the mop to get rid of dirt and pet hair. This unique feature makes the Deebot stand apart from other robots.
This robot is also adept at avoiding obstacles. It was able to avoid furniture legs, pet toys and even poop when it was tested. The X2 Omni's built-in camera records its obstacles which allows you to enjoy hands-free enjoyment.
Owners appreciate the user-friendly interface and performance, despite being more expensive than the iRobot Combo j7+. The only downside to the X2 Omni is that it requires an internet connection to work, which could be a hassle in some homes.
The X2 Omni is very easy to set up. It comes with a side brush that is pre-installed and mopping pads which makes it a plug-and-play gadget. It's also among the quietest robotic vacuums we have tested.
Another important feature of the X2 Omni is its all-in-one OMNI Station. This docking system is unique in that it can automatically store dust, allergens and debris for up to 60 days. It also washes and replenishes the mop's water supply to be ready for the next cleaning task. This helps ensure that mops always have clean and fresh surfaces to work on, and also prevents the growth of bacteria.
Additionally it also comes with a X2 Omni also features a revamped YIKO 2.0 voice control that lets you give commands to the robot, such as, "move forward and clean there" or advanced schedules. It also has a 960p camera which you can activate through the app at any time to monitor your the house.
