If the warning light for the KEY (red) appears or the push button start indicator light (amber) flashes, it could mean that the engine is not able to be started using the normal starting method (for vehicles equipped with a type A instrument cluster (Search) messages are displayed in the instrument cluster). Get your vehicle checked by an Authorized Mazda Repairer as soon as possible.

Keep your key fobs in good condition and lubricated to avoid rust. Make sure to rotate your keys regularly so that neither one gets more wear than the others, and replace your battery every year, or as often as you need. Security System

The Mazda 6's security system is designed to stop thieves from starting the car by only allowing the car to be started with an entry key that the system recognizes. The system can be disabled in a variety of different ways however the most basic method is to locate and then remove the fuse that controls the system. The fuse is located in the engine compartment, typically close to the ignition coil.

The 8.0-inch infotainment display includes Bluetooth streaming and smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, though the base Sport doesn't offer either feature. The Mazda6 is equipped with the TomTom Navigation System that functions well regardless of trim. It has a variety of features such as live traffic updates and automatic routing that is based on current delays and future destinations as well as a database that includes locations of interest.
