Be On The Lookout For: How Robot Vacuum Mop Pet Hair Is Taking Over And What You Can Do About It
The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

For pets with shedding fur A robot vacuum/mop combination is one of the best floor cleaning solutions. The machine can vacuum, mop and clean its own dual mop pad.

It also has 8,000Pa suction, which is the most of any robot we've examined. It also allows you to create cleaning schedules and save your house's maps through its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR that is similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space up to 32 feet across by 360 degrees. This translates to more accurate mapping, faster response time, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has an alternating mopping mat made of chenille, which makes it much easier to scrub hard spots than conventional mop. During my testing the X2 Omni took just over a minute to wash its pad and begin work. I also noticed that it was more precise than the previous models, which seemed to follow a gridded route around rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms and also create "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station on a regular basis to empty the dustbin and wash the mop with hot water, before starting another cleaning task.

The X2 Omni is as easy to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. It takes just a few minutes to secure the dock into place, plug it in and connect to your Wi-Fi network at home. After that, you can start the app and begin with your first cleaning project. I was able to modify my floor plan in less than 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for sweeping and mopping as well as rearranging the positioning of furniture on the wall, and more. The X2 Omni was astonished during my tests, scoring excellent scores for cleaning pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as near-perfect results for cleaning crevices and edges.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The ECOVACS T10 Omni is a powerful mopping and vacuum cleaner. It is the most advanced model of the brand's T-line, and features the brand's new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for superior cleaning over traditional oscillating scrubbing. It has YIKO, which is a natural language processing system that is a first of its kind. It can respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to plan your home, make cleaning schedules, and alter settings.

The biggest issue with the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between vacuuming and mopping in one run. The two modes require you attach and remove the mop heads according to the need and is suitable for most homes but not an ideal choice for those who have a busy schedule.

The Deebot T10 is a great robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It vacuumed up more than 96% of the particles we tossed at it our hardwood flooring which is an impressive performance. It did a great job on carpets and tiles and removed 99percent of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mops has large docking systems that allows for automatic cleaning with cool water for the mop pads. It also features an auto-emptying 3L bag that is easy to replace and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a large water tank that permits more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 features a wash tray built into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to rinse and dry the mop pads when it is using them. However, it doesn't have a removable tray, which means dirty water, dust and other grime build up on the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first model of mopping from Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It features enhanced intelligence, multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts for the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robotic cleaner that's attractive even if the claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning does not make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular shape with sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated area for sensors. On the opposite side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush and one side brush that pushes dust from the edges to the main path of its' mouth.' It's a bit smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under couches and chairs.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. However it is prone to hit things (including its own charging dock) and isn't always adept in negotiating rugs. It did a great job of removing pet hair on floors that were not paved however, and in our tests it took in 89.5% of kitty litter - a figure that is higher than any of the most powerful robots we've tested.

While it's controllable via the app and the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base, which allow you to choose a cleaning mode and turn the robot off and on. You can also use these to set no-go zones and see maps in real-time. It's a little chatty, too, and will inform you of what it plans to do next ("start cleaning") or even warn you that something's wrong (it isn't able to charge, for example).

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble and other debris with top-notch efficiency and maneuvers flawlessly around furniture legs. It also comes with an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes, a self-emptying dock, and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be operated via the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with a mix of hard and carpet floors. However it will require some planning in advance to avoid getting entangled with power cables, toys, or other unexpected obstructions.

In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble the robot performed very well and was able to take everything from a single grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in just one go. It had a bit of difficulty transitioning to carpets, but in general this vacuum cleaner is perfect for rooms that have both types of flooring and a variety of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive however it's a great option for those who wish to to leave the house with no hands on so they can do other things or take care chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to tackle difficult dirt or spills. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a renowned brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides exceptional value for money. Its basic navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm, and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than other models in this list. However, it's still able to get under furniture and into corners, and its mopping mode worked very well during our tests, picking up stray pet hair and other debris with ease.

5. best robot vacuum for pet hair and carpet 's iQ may not appear as well-built, but it is better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It cleans floors that are bare more thoroughly and does a fair job on carpets with a low pile, and it makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It also allows you to transfer it to a particular room, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It even lets you to pause and resume the cleaning process and is perfect for households with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent knots from pet hair and other debris, and its self-emptying bagless docking station can hold up to 30 days of dirt prior to needing to be emptied. It comes with of side brushes that are angled to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that captures dust, allergens and dander.

This robot vacuum feels solid and well-built. It works with a smartphone app that lets you change the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning sessions in advance. The app lets you check the remaining battery life of the iQ, and send push notifications when it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can control it with your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices you can mark out areas with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ does a decent job of cleaning flooring and doing a good job with shaggy and low-pile carpet, but it doesn't have the same level of autonomy as our top picks. It's also costly, and its recurring expenses can add up over time.
