Why Everyone Is Talking About Pushchair Today
Choosing a Double Pushchair Twin

When you have twins, you'll need a double pushchair to get them from A to B. Our range of twin prams includes twin buggies that can be configured in different ways to suit your requirements.

Find a stroller that can fold in one step and easily lifted into your car. You might also want a lightweight design, especially if you're tackling busy high streets.

Side-by-Side

They are the most popular type of double pushchair, and can typically seat 2 children in a row. They are generally wider than single pushchairs. This means they are less agile on the footpaths and may be a little tricky to navigate up and down kerbs when a car seat is attached. However the extra width does mean that they're usually easier to navigate through doorways and are more evenly distributed making them easier to carry around on your back.

They can be used as a twin pram from birth, and many models can accommodate a carrycot or 2 car seats. Some models can be converted to a single mode with a basket to the side (like the Cybex Venus).

One of the most excellent examples of this is the Bugaboo Donkey 5 which, in Twin Mode, allows you to fit the rear seat and carrycot side by side. This creates a totally enclosed space for twins and is perfect for infants. The pram comes with amazing accessories, such as the newborn cocoons, which can be put on either facing forwards or in any direction (for twin-facing prams). It's not as lightweight as some other options, but it's really cleverly created.

Lightweight

Cybex is renowned for its unique pushchairs, and the single-to-double isn't an exception. Its clever frame expands widthways to accommodate an additional seat and can be used it as a twin from birth with the addition of two newborn cocoons (PS59 each) that provide enclosed, lie-flat areas for babies. The large shopping basket behind the seat lets it be used in mono mode with just one child. pushchair travel system comes with rear and front suspensions to take on bumps and uneven surfaces more easily. The top choice from our reviewers.

Available in a variety fashionable colors.

Tandem

If you are planning to have twins you will require a tandem pushchair. This will allow the children to sit together and look at each one another. They are perfect for visiting the zoo since the kids can observe the animals together. They are also great for parents who must keep one eye on their toddler and the other on their child since they can look at both of them simultaneously.

Some tandem pushchairs offer ultra flexibility as they can convert back to single mode. This is particularly useful when you're planning to have more than two children (or only your oldest doesn't need a buggy anymore). It means you won't have an empty pushchair to put away and can be expensive.

The Cybex Venus, for example can be used in mono or double mode. The frame can be expanded to allow for an additional seat. It's not the tiniest pushchair but it has an enormous basket that can be placed behind the front seat when in double mode or at the rear when in mono mode. The seats can either be placed so that they face one other or higher up to be able to see what the other is doing.

Other double tandem pushchairs such as the Joolz Geo 3 can seat one on top of the other, or side-by-side. They feature a sleek, compact frame that makes it easier to maneuver through doorways and supermarket aisles and some models can even be used as a jogging stroller on rough terrain thanks to a four-wheel suspension as well as wide rear wheels.

A tandem pushchair can be used to transport two carrycots, or a car and buggy seat. You can save money by creating a travel system at the beginning and not making separate purchases. Keep in mind that tandems are more heavy and longer, and can feel less stable when you bump into the kerbs or going over uneven surfaces. They also require dismantling in order to fit into cars.
