The sequel to the Supergiant Games 2020 roguelike Hades is expected to be released in the year 2019. It's an ambitious move that raises the stakes while offering a deeper look into familial politics.

It feels like a fully realized game that is just waiting for a few final elements to become a masterpiece.

Aside from its stunning visuals, Hades 2 introduces a number of new and interesting characters and features that will enhance the experience and test players in ways they've did not anticipate. In addition to the new gods shades, and other items that populate the Underworld there's a wide array of items that you can acquire and upgrade through Incantations. Another welcome addition is the introduction of more open regions, which provide a variety of different routes through each area and an ever-changing setting to explore. Each region has its own unique take on the Underworld. Some are more accessible than others, but all offer unique challenges that separate them from other roguelites.

Supergiant also tweaked the gameplay slightly in the early access build, reducing some of the work required to unlock certain upgrades and making it easier to move from one place to the next. There's still much work to be done before the game hits its full release however, the studio has made it clear that it's keen to make the most of player feedback and keep working to bring Hades 2 to a perfect state.

Supergiant is renowned for its ability to listen to its players, and address any issues that might arise. 3. Hades 2 Beta

Hades was a roguelike unlike the rest when it came out in the year 2018. The game was awarded multiple awards and is considered to be one of the greatest games ever created. The most striking feature is Omega attacks which are a fresh method of powering up your weapons and spells. These attacks will charge your magick meter, allowing you to unleash devastating attacks with a large area of effect. It's a fantastic method to add variety to the action of combat.

The beta for Hades 2 is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The date of release for the full version of the game is still undetermined, but Supergiant has promised to keep fans informed as they are working towards the 1.0 release in 2024.
