Description
1945 CJ2A. Good engine; 130 psi in each cylinder, 40 psi oil pressure at idle. Rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, new fuel lines and hoses. New spark plugs, ignition wires, points, condenser, distributor cap, and rotor. New engine mounts. New master cylinder, brake lines, hoses, and wheel cylinders. Retains the 6-volt electrical system (with a 40-amp alternator) and has completely new wiring. The temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, ammeter, and fuel gauge all work perfectly. Front and rear lights—including the brake lights—work perfectly. New ignition switch and light switch. It drives very well for an 81-year-old Jeep. Items still needing attention: repair the floor beneath the fuel tank and under the passenger-side floor area. $4,100 or best offer. Includes an aluminum hardtop with doors and windows, plus a vehicle cover and tow bar. The Jeep originally had a column-mounted gear shifter. At some point, someone converted it to a floor-mounted shifter, but it still retains the transmission with the gear-shifting mechanism on the side.
