M38 Delivered 8/51, SN 27787

Description

Partially demilitarized, 12V ignition and lights, CJ hood, 24v generator, regulator and starter. New starter, solid state regulator, rebuilt generator, new engine wiring harness, temperature gauge, voltage gauge. Brakes were redone approximately 5 years ago. lights and turn signal work. Engine overhauled 6/89 64,500 miles (bearings, pistons, valves, clutch). Has a tow bar if wanted. Odometer shows 67,000 miles, but speedometer cable quit working about 10 years ago. Has only gone enough distance to use one tank of gas each year the last decade. Has locking front hubs. Body work and paint were done before I bought it in 1986. I have an old vinyl top with doors and all hardware which has not been used for many years. Licensed as Minnesota collector vehicle.
