1948 CJ2A Fun Daily Driver

Description

Bought this 1948 in 2017 as older restoration. Prior owner replaced the Go Devil engine with a Hurricane engine (hence the hood vent to accommodate). Drove to and from Twain Harte CA and Modesto CA as a commuter while still 6V.

Functionally restored by mechanics. Changed to 12V in 2019. Recent battery, starter, ignition, non-cancelling turn signals. Just replaced head gasket, front differential cover gasket, rear pinion seal. Resealed transfer case (including 75W-140 synthetic gear oil). New muffler. Oil changed. Radiator fluid replaced. Tuned. Warn locking hubs. Garaged.

BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires and spare in good condition. Paint is chipped but she still commands respect. Soft top in fair condition.

I have driven her from Denver to Walden CO (about 185 miles up the Poudre Canyon).
