1953 willy’s station wagon 4X4
Hurricane straight 4 cylinder, just rebuilt from bottom up just under 500 miles on newly rebuilt engine.
Transmission just rebuilt with just under 500 miles also. New clutch, throw out bearings and seals with again just under 500 miles on. This is a 6 volt electrical original.
The interior has a new headliner with new door panels the same. Rustproofed interior black floor paint new reduced sound insulation on floors in front cab with brand new front rubber mat liner that matched the originals. It also has new mats on top of those items mentioned. The oak strips are also brand new stained and sealed. The exterior paint is enamel, rated a 8 out of 10 and done to exact and original 1953 color specs. A tri-color finish. The frame was glass bead blasted then epoxied light grey and rust proofed a black gloss. The seats are original. There are no signs of welds or channels added to the frame, all is original with no rust. It was done right. The floors are all good with no rust and original. All gauges work with lights except the gas gauge. The sending unit has power so it must be a wire. All chrome is decent but could be re- chromed. All lights work inside and outside. The tires are all good even the spare is brand new. The filler neck to the gas tank needs replaced. All hoses and steel lines are in great shape. It needs very little of anything.
This station wagon took a second place trophy in the 2018 June Bantam jeep festival Class 6 in Butler,PA and was heavily judged 3 times and looked over. It bears a trophy from this 2018 yearly event. It has been in three other shows and places nicely with plaques and other winnings.
It also drives straight and runs well on the highways.
It was judged 5th place in United Staes for vehicles that are for sale. The top other four are with the highest $55,000, “The Oreo”. From Nantucket Island and a few others that are priced well beyond my asking price. This is a 4×4 all original except the horn button on the dash.
I am asking $30,000 or the best offer some one may have thats not ridiculous. I can be a little flexible.
No trades, Just cash offers…..If out of state folks are interested you will pay the shipping and coordinate all that.
