1947 CJ-2A

Description

1947 CJ2A, 231 Buick V6, 3 Speed, T90 transmission, T18 transfer case, hydraulic clutch, 5 new Firestone tires, new 9,500lb winch.

Here’s the story on this. I have no history on it.
This is a true barn find (garage). A gentleman noticed me working on my jeeps and asked if I knew anything about old jeeps. He said he had an old jeep in the back of his garage that he needed to get rid of because he was selling his house. I immediately followed him to his place and entered the garage sure enough there sat a flat fender sitting in the dark. The jeep was given to him from a man that passed away. It had been previously restored, new wiring kit and gauges. It sat for years garaged and needed to be rescued and brought to life. I purchased it and brought it home. It sat so long the drivers front wheel would not turn and the motor ran rough and would not idle. Work performed- Replaced oils seals, bearings, 11” brakes, brake cylinders, turned drums in front and rear axles. Replaced rear diff seal and rear U joints. Drained and replaced fluids in tranny, transfer case, front & rear differentials. Flushed radiator, drained fuel (no rust in tank). Replaced alternator. Rebuilt carb, replaced plugs, rotor and cap.
Actual mileage unknown, minor chips on hood. Clean title. Runs strong.
