Hello! I am helping my Aunt sell my Uncle’s Jeep after he passed away. She is moving from Colorado which is where the Jeep currently resides. Dove Creek, CO is near 4 corners, close to the Utah, Arizona, New Mexico borders.
Unfortunately I’m in California so I’ll respond with requests for additional photos, info, etc. and coordinate with my Aunt as quickly as possible.
Here’s what I have from her:
Registered as ’46 Willys – VIN 41554 / Tab# Y153975
From my (limited) Willys knowledge and research, this appears to be an MB
I’d say it is a ’45 MB. Although the VIN would work for both a ’45 MB or a ’46 CJ2A… So I don’t know if this is a possible title mis-print, or if parts were changed on the vehicle.
I’m also not sure of any actual provenance; ie action in war, famous owners, etc. My Uncle purchased it from some classic car place on the east coast and it was shipped to him. I wish I had more information on this before he had died, because I love this Willys! (He purchased it because his name was Wil, and he was born in ’46)
So, onto the info- The pictures will probably tell you more than I can, but in a nutshell, this Jeep comes with an attached trailer with a working generator on-board, a mounted .30 Cal which has had the barrel ‘properly’ filled so as to be de-commissioned (boo, lol), shovel, gas tanks, all parts you see in the photo. The canvas top is stored in a garage and would come with the Jeep. I’m *told* that there are also one or two military stretchers as well.
It runs great, I’ll need to add photos of the engine compartment, which, from what I could tell is all stock, and definitely in great condition.
Any requests for additional information and/or photos I’ll add to this post for all to read. I know it’s important on a vehicle like this to get as much info as possible.
It’s listed at $35k because that’s what my Uncle paid for it 5-7 years ago, give or take, but as I mentioned to my Aunt, she is going to need to be a little flexible on price as this is a very niche vehicle.
Thank you in advance for looking!
