this is a easy 1951 CJ3A project jeep. It has the original 4 cylinder flathead and is still 6 volt. The body has two patches but is very solid. one patch at the passenger enty area and one under the clutch pedal. It ran when parked and has oil in the cylinders. It has a roll bar, 6 volt electric wiper motors. It doesn’t have the original seats. The brakes need to be fixed and it has to be cleaned up and painted. I have 4 original good jeep 15 inch rims for it and 4 decent tires. It now has 9.50 X 31 X 15 inch tires with chrome rims with decent tires. It has a tow bar. $2500 cash and you own a good restorable Willys jeep legend! Old Geezer Jeeps (970) 420-3589

I have a 1949 CJ3-A for sale, its all originally except for the after market top I had ordered. does run and drive, it is titled and tagged in NC, have some spare parts for this vehicle. I am the second owner of this vehicle. gas tank does leak a little, and there is a rust spot on the drivers side floor pan. Speed od. cable broke with me about 3 months ago. I drove this vehicle during the summer while home on leave. I am heading out on another deployment, the jeep is just setting here under the carport. would rather see it go to someone that will run it.

This jeep has been in my family since 1983 and has been restored once in 1986. The jeep needs some body work now and still runs good. All I did was put a electric fuel pump on it and a battery, new plugs and wires in the last year. The interior is in good shape but needs a drivers seat.I have the seat but it has a bad rip in it so i took it out, the passengers seat is in good condition. I have removed the gas tank due to the 20+ year old gas that was in the tank (and it still ran with that gas in it). I was planing on installing a ploy tank but never did. The jeep also needs a brake job. I do have a new master cylinder for it that also needs to be installed. The motor is a flat head 4, with a foot button starter that still works good. All gages are still in place and all work but the speedo, and the heater still blows And the head lights still work ..I did put a new tire on when I got the jeep due to the dry rot..the other tires are still ok.. Please email me for pictures, I have good pics of interior and the exterior but can not upload for some reason…Thank you Mike D.

I am selling my super clean 1951 Willys CJ-3A, which has been featured in several articles in Four Wheeler magazine as Project Colonel Mustard. I wish I could keep it, but life changes dictate that I sell it. The serial number on the Willys is 451GB110046 and I am the fourth owner. This is an AS IS sale and the Jeep has a clean California title.

This Flattie was restored in 1997 and is rust free. It has an L134 flat head and T-90 3-speed transmission with an Advanced Adapter Saturn overdrive. The stock Dana 25 front and Dana 41 rear axles have mechanical lockers. The shocks are CJ-5 Bilsteins that work with the 2-in lift springs from Deaver Spring. The rear of the tub has been Line-Xed, and wheels are custom 15-inch Stockton units that have been powder coated black and the tires are 30×9.5R15 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrains. We have also completed an 11-inch non-assist drum brake conversion at all four corners. Steering is new and tight and braking performance is strong and straight. On the front bumper is a Warn 8274 winch. An Optima yellow top battery is under hood, along with a billet optical distributor and 12-volt conversion that uses the stock starter (rebuilt last year). A custom rear tire carrier moves the spare to the tailgate. This Jeep has a reinforced Smittybilt roll bar and seatbelts out of a YJ for all four positions. Also added is a Tuffy center console and 12v power point on the dash.

I recently rebuilt the carb and the Jeep starts right away every time and runs strong. It will reach speeds faster than 55mph if there is enough room to get there. It is a great weekend runabout and it has been wheeling in the So Cal desert, as well as the slick rock of Moab.
I have many of the original parts, including the original points and distributor and generator, along with the rear drawbar hitch. Also have manual and books. All of this comes with the purchase. The Power Tank and Hi-Lift jack are NOT part of the sale.

Vehicle is currently located in Fullerton, California and can be made available for inspection.

Buyer is responsible for pickup and/or shipping.

Here are some of the articles that have appeared in Four Wheeler magazine:

Basically all original, but not running. No title.

In my opinion, the frame, transmission, transfer case and running gear are usable for someone wanting a project. Original 4-cyl motor turns over by hand. It was running and I drove it around many years ago. I completely disassembled it in preparation for a rebuild, but lost interest and moved on to other projects. I still have ALL the parts. Instruments, latches and detail pieces were stored indoors. Hood, grill, window frame and tailgate are solid with surface rust. Seat frames are in great shape.

Email me if you want more pics. I think it’s a great foundation for a Willys project.
